PODCASTS
I've been a producer on a wide range of productions for the BBC and other independent platforms, with my work found on BBC 6 Music, the BBC World Service and BBC Radio 4.
I have also delivered sound design for the award winning Buried on BBC Radio 4, plus a range of titles for BBC World Service.
I also have experience of managing and producing branded podcasts for corporate clients, bringing my expertise to the structuring, format, editing and distribution of their shows.

Interviewing Sky Sports commentating legend Martin Tyler for the Broadway to Brazil podcast series
MF DOOM: LONG ISLAND TO LEEDS
(SENIOR PRODUCER)
MF DOOM: Long Island to Leeds is the captivating story of deeply influential rapper MF DOOM, and his surreal journey from hip hop royalty in the US to a life of exile and obscurity in Leeds.
Produced by Persephonica and released as part of BBC’s Audio Lab development programme for new creatives, I guided its first time producer, Adam Batty, through the entire process of the series: devising a production schedule, interviewing figures such as Romesh Ranganathan, scripting 5 x episodes, recording with co-host AFRODEUTSCHE, and delivering final edits. Top on BBC Culture’s Best Podcasts of 2026.

PEOPLE FIXING THE WORLD (PRODUCER)
After successfully pitching to BBC World Service for its 'People Fixing the World' strand of programmes, I worked with presenter and fashion writer Brooke Roberts-Islam to assess AI’s role in reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry in 'Can AI power a green fashion revolution?'
SPORTING WITNESS (PRODUCER)
In 'Jack Brabham: A champion in his own construction', I produced, mixed and presented the story of a pioneering Formula 1 driver through an interview with his son and fellow racer, David Brabham.
BURIED (SOUND DESIGN)
I delivered the sound design for the award-winning Buried, the tale of a deathbed tape that exposes one of the worst environmental crimes in UK history, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and released on BBC Sounds. Dark, dramatic and haunting moments were complemented by others that called for poignancy or intrigue, requiring the command of an extensive suite of original compositions, wildtrack, atmos, interview content and VO. A Smoke Trail production, Buried featured on BBC Breakfast and won Gold at the 2023 British Podcast Awards (Climate category).

I was once again sound designer on the second series follow up, Buried: The Last Witness, launched in June 2024 at Sheffield Docfest and focused on the issues caused by ‘forever chemicals’. With Michael Sheen playing a starring role throughout the series, it reached number 8 on Apple Podcasts UK.
The Last Witness received a number of accolades: it was Number 3 on The Guardian’s Best Podcasts of 2024, and winner at the 2025 New York Festivals Radio Awards and DIG Awards. The latter highlighted its sound design in particular:
"Among its greatest strengths are a beautifully composed soundtrack and immersive sound design which give the reportage an ambitious, almost operatic creativity, rarely seen in investigative audio journalism"

SMOKE TRAIL PRODUCTIONS for BBC RADIO 4 / WORLD SERVICE / VARIOUS
I have sound designed an extensive amount of journalistic investigations for Smoke Trail Productions, for BBC and other platforms.
Examples include The Ghost Ship, A Man Without Bees and Controlling Nature’s Data, all for the World Service’s ‘The Documentary’ strand of programmes, Abused for our Food for Radio 4’s ‘File on 4’, and Boy Wasted, a 3-part true crime investigation into the death of an Afghan refugee at a Turkish recycling facility and a finalist at the 2026 Amnesty International Media Awards.
The Ghost Ship is a BBC World Service and Smoke Trail production that investigated the bizarre tale of an abandoned tanker that washed up on a Mumbai beach without a crew. Aired to the sizeable global audience of the World Service’s The Documentary slot, the script called for versatility and technical nous in its sound design, whether conveying the drama of a Royal Navy rescue mission or the eerie Mary Celeste like journey of an unmanned ship.
BROADWAY TO BRAZIL
Broadway to Brazil tells the unique story of Corinthian-Casuals Football Club, embedding itself in the club while detailing its unique and prestigious history. Initailly as an amateur enthusiast, I worked as part of a small team of sports journalists to deliver Series 1 in 2018, and then returned for Series 2 as an audio professional; I closely collaborated with co-presenter/co-producer Dominic Bliss and sports production house Highway 61 Network on a more polished title that was released in 2021.
Series 1 brought many of the classic Corinthian tales of yore to life, while also covering the club's successful promotion campaign in the 2017/18 season. In Series 2, we lent our hand to more investigative journalistic stories – I specifically uncovered the story of a bizarre visit from a team of Soviet Union veterans in 1991, and explored the time Brazilian legend Sócrates played 17 minutes for the Corinthian-Casuals in the late 1980s.
Dominic and I led on all elements of production, including planning, structuring and gathering content, and hosting the podcasts themselves. I also assumed full responsibility for postproduction, including editing, mixing and distribution.
BEHIND THE SUN / CONFLICTED
I've worked closely with production house Message Heard as a freelancer producer and editor on narrative documentary and branded content through sound design, editing and mixing, as well as audiogram production. I delivered editing and mixing for the Behind The Sun documentary series, a co-production of Message Heard and the Syria Foundation that tells the story of one of the Assad regime’s most notorious detention camps. I also worked with Message Heard to edit and mix episodes of geopolitical analysis show, Conflicted, with Islamic scholar Thomas Small and ex-jihadi turned spy Aimen Dean.
For corporate clients, I was the lead producer for Off Mute from Remote.com, a podcast series that explored the benefits and challenges of remote working. I worked closely with Remote senior leadership to develop an engaging series that helped promote the company’s cross-border HR services, leading on series conception, guest sourcing and booking, and delivery of trailer, episodes and videograms. Separately I worked with Message Heard in an editing and mixing capacity for the Shine On podcast for members of The National Hair & Beauty Federation.
EVERYDAY ENGLISH WITH ERIKA AND ELIZABETH
Published by language school Professional English Solutions, this podcast explores how native English speakers use the language in everyday settings.
With the clients entering podcasting for the first time, I worked closely with Erika and Elizabeth on each step of production. I guided them through structuring and planning the series, developed all assets including artwork and theme music, recorded the series content remotely through Cleanfeed, assumed responsibility for the final edit, and distributed the show through Libsyn.
